A program organized by MIET Incubation Forum (MIF) jointly with Meerut Institute of Technology, Meerut on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

Women living in rural areas of India, who work in both skilled and unskilled labor sectors in remote parts of the country, have been able to assert their rights and demands through various means. They have sought credibility, independence and competitiveness for themselves within their community by using environmental concerns, socio-economic advancement and digital means effectively.

Self-help groups made women financially independent and created financial stability in their lives, which led them on the path of progress, but these were compared to the goals achieved by the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA) i.e. MGNREGA.
